Asked why he was looking forward to racing with the top female in the World of Powerboat Racing Patrick commented “Shelley is a formidable character both on and off the race course. I first met her at the San Benedetto Grand Prix last year where she had determination in her eyes following the win in Istanbul the previous round.” He continued :”You have to have admiration for her and what she achieves and her determination to do well despite any problems she faces. I thought to myself it would be fantastic to race with someone so passionate in her sport, I hope I can live up to her determination.”
