SportAccord Convention World Sport & Business Summit was the occasion for the UIM President, Raffaele Chiulli to meet the Russian Federation’s Minister of Sport, Vitaly Mutko, as well as Yunis Lukmanov, President of Motorboat Federation of Russia. Raffaele Chiulli, Vitaly Mutko and Yunis Lukmanov took this opportunity to discuss and identify means and ways to further valorize and develop the powerboating sport in Russia. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Raffaele Chiulli also acknowledged the success of the SportAccord Convention held in Sochi and extended his congratulations to Russia for hosting such an important event for the Sport at global scale.
The 2015 SportAccord Convention was also the stage for a meeting between UIM President Chiulli and the Vice President of Chinese Motorboat Association, Mr. Li Haojie, who reaffirmed the strong determination of the Chinese Motorboat Association to grow the sport in China with special focus on training and youth development in line with the UIM policy and guidance.
