The timeline to fully integrate and test out the BGAN solution has resulted in a date shift of the world speed record which is now scheduled for August 17, 2017. Check out much more and enjoy the video&#8217;s below.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It was during an in depth planning session that Hook\u2019s communications and integration team, Duchancell Engineering, made the decision to augment the boat\u2019s technology and use BGAN for the voice and data transmissions between Key West and Cuba allowing for the constant tracking and connectivity between the pilots, the Agusta 109C safety helicopter, and the support boats.<\/p>\n<p>Hook says \u201cThis is fantastic! We will be transmitting our IoT data LIVE via BGAN from the deep blue water up to IBM\u2019s Bluemix Cloud. Fans around with world will remain connected as Jay and I pass over the horizon and head to Cuba.
