Beide piloten, Nigel Hook en Joe Sgro konden tijdig gered worden uit\u00a0hun zinkende powerboat. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Pierre Colpin van Furnibo 2B1 reageert op ons botenforum: &#8220;Je kan heel goed horen dat ook wij drie bumps hadden in die bewuste bocht. Gelukkig konden we goed corrigeren. Ietsje later kwam dus Lucas Oil. Ik denk dat het vooral te maken heeft met iets wat je niet verwacht. 9 ronden na elkaar konden we voluit door die bocht gaan zonder enig probleem en zonder een golfje te zien en dan ineens zijn die rollertjes daar. Eerlijk gezegd waren ook wij enorm geschrokken. De heli met film hing blijkbaar boven ons dus hopelijk gaan we op de P1 movie kunnen zien dat ook wij het even moeilijk hadden.&#8221; Mike Fiore, eigenaar van de het team en tevens baas van de Outerlimitswerf, is uiteraard aangedaan maar blijft niet bij de pakken ziten en zegt aan de Siciliaanse startlijn te staan\u00a0met een andere powerboat.
