The images show ‘our’ powerboat team Birretta Due (B) in action during the Cowes Classic 2016 in a very cool RIB. The British Powerboat Racing Club are pleased to announce the date of the Cowes Classic 2017: Saturday 26th August – Sunday 27th August (race day) 2017 (UK Bank Holiday Weekend). The Cowes Torquay Cowes will be UIM International Ordinary status for Marathon classes and will run under the same format as 2016.
The BPRC have confirmed with the RYA Powerboat Racing Department that they will not be holding a Cowes Poole Cowes race in 2017. The club feels that the Event is too close to the Guernsey 2017 (4th to 10th September) UIM Class 3 A & B World Championships and UIM V24 UIM European Championship to attract sufficient entries (source: http://cowestorquaycowes.co.uk/)
