The 51st Genoa International Boat Show has been the ideal location for another UIM significant step forward. Peters & May, leaders in international boat and yacht transportation, signed an important agreement with the UIM to support the UIM Youth Development Programme.
Peters & May was appointed as ‘UIM Approved Marine Transport Provider’ on February 2011 and now they have decided to further strengthen their cooperation with the UIM – World Governing Body for Powerboating – with this new key strategic project along with the prestigious Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club which signed the cooperation agreement on August 2011.
Peters & May will be granted the designation of ‘UIM Youth Development Programme Funding Partner’. David Holley, CEO of the Peters & May, stated after signing the agreement: “As a fan and as a father, I recognize the importance of focusing on developing the sport from grass roots up so that it can be enjoyed by future generations. The UIM and Dr. Raffaele Chiulli have shown a great commitment to developing the sport and Peters & May is pleased to contribute and participate in that effort, a key to our future and that of future generations of powerboat enthusiasts.” Dr. Raffaele Chiulli, UIM President said: “The agreement we have signed today with Peters & May is a clear demonstration of how we, at the UIM, care about our young generations, their training and their development, and it will certainly help to create new passionate of our Sport.”
