The Round Britain 12 cancelled
The Round Britain 12 (RB12) marathon has been cancelled and is being deferred until 2014. It has come as no surprise as a spokesman for RB12 announced more than 2 weeks ago that unless they got more entries by the end of March, the race would not go ahead.BananaShark Racing
The BananaShark team E-Lites have had a very busy winter, not only have they been working very hard on the boat to get ready for the 2012 season and especially the epic Round Britain race in June, but also had to find time to visit the Autosport Show and the two Top Gear live shows in London and Birmingham with the boat as guest of E-Lites electronic cigarettes. Team principal John Cooke also visited the London Boat Show 2012 and did a presentation on the boat and the team in association with sponsors Raymarine who supply the team with the latest multi functional displays. Frank Hemelaer debutes successful in Class One 2011
From 14 to 16 October 2011 Cernobbio was the place to be for the UIM Class 1 World Powerboat Championship Italian Grand Prix. A remarkable appearance was made by Belgian 2B1 Racing team throttle man Frank Hemelaer. Together with fellow countryman Pierre Colpin, they lead the Ocean Grand Prix World Championship 2011. (more…)
Belgian participation in the World Offshore Powerboating Class 3B
After a while and being absent, Gino Passchier returns to racing in Europe. Although he races in a smaller class he still enjoys racing in a competitive fleet of 13 participants at Torquay (England). Gino races in the only Belgian team “Peters & May # B-75” along with Matthew Webb. (more…)

Class One in Abu Dhabi 2009
In november 2009 ging in Abu Dhabi de voorlaatste manche door van het WK Class One. Ook al zijn er geen landgenoten die momenteel deelnemen in deze klasse, in de jaren negentig gingen aan onze kust dergelijke wedstrijden door meer bepaald in Oostende. Key West 2009 SuperBoat Wereldkampioenschap
De naam Key West doet menig powerboat fanaat wegdromen. Terecht want een hele week lang is het zuidelijkste puntje van Florida (US) in de ban van powerboating.
