SilverHook: the new 77 Lucas Oil Peters & May race boat
The SilverHook was conceived last September (2010) and has been a global endeavor ever since Michael and Nigel made the decision to build an all-out, 100% race boat. Based upon their previous seasons’ experience with their pleasure-boat-turned-race boat, the duo quickly agreed that Mannerfelt Design Team was the only choice to design their race-only boat. (more…)

The 2011 Ocean Grand Prix UIM Endurance World Championships will have its first stop in Malta on June 10 to 12. The powerboats are already on their way to this beautiful Mediterranean island. Rumours had it that the all red, white and bleu powerboat number 77 (Lucas Oil Scandinavian Offshore Challenge) would be a brand new concept especially designed to race. This new design was kept hidden and no pictures were to be found. The Maltese Grand Prix of the Sea is the backdrop for new live broadcasting of the 77 LUCAS OIL Scandinavian Offshore Challenge team as they prepare for rounds 3 and 4 of the& Malta GPS World Championships 2010. Watch the action in the pits as the teams prepare themselves. 
Today (April 21st 2010) marks the successful completion of the beta test phase for the new 77 LUCAS OIL Scandinavian Offshore Challenge, an Ilmor powered Vector. The race boat, trailer and support truck are being transported to Trieste, Italy to catch the ferry to Yalta, Ukraine.
