Benjamin Van Riet drives Supersport Big Sergio
Italian Supersport team Al & Al driver Alfredo Amato got injured during yesterday’s spin-off. While everything seemed fine in the beginning, it looked like he suffored minor injuries forcing him to stay at land today so that he cannot race. There seemed no other choice than to withdraw. (more…)
Maltese Prime Minister to visit the GPS 2010
Maltese Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi visited yesterday the teams and the boats of the Grand Prix of the Sea of Malta 2010. 2010 Malta Sprint results: Italy-Belgium ends in 1-1
In the GPS powerboat world championship in Malta, in Evolution class the Belgian team Furnibo 2B1 Racing Team wins. In Supersport triumph for the Italian team RG87 Karelpiu. VALLETTA. 2010 Malta Powerpole results
Under a burning sun and a clear sky the powerpole took place in the waters between Valletta and Sliema. World’s finest powerboat pilots raced to determine their starting position for the Sprint race on Saturday and the Endurance race on Sunday. The race proved to be very exciting because Seagull arrived just today and work on the Ukrainian Spirit was still going on. (more…)
2010 Malta official team entry list
What a surprise to see the Belgian evolution team Carconnex withdrawing from the competition in Malta. Rumour has it that it’s due to family reasons. Douglas Verbanck (B) who was the Carconnex driver now races with evolution powerboat team Searex after Gino Passchier (B) decided to leave the German team. (more…)

Just days before the 3rd and 4th round of the UIM Grand Prix of the Sea in Malta we’re able to publish the provisional team entry list. Provisional because teams can still alter their entry until Friday June 11th 2010 at 12 o’clock according to the rules. 
We had the chance to talk to Pierre Colpin, driver of the 2B1 Racing Team in Furnibo (on the right in the picture) and ask him some questions.
