Maltese Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi visited yesterday the teams and the boats of the Grand Prix of the Sea of Malta 2010. He showed great interest during the visit and was accompanied by the organizer of the venue, Ruben Caruana and by Jean-Marie Van Lancker, GPS World Championship organizer.
The Prime Minister was curious about many technical aspects and showed a particular affection for the home team, Chaudron, and also for the many Italian teams. An Ukrainian delegation headed by Viktor Shemchuk handed over a gift to Prime Minister Gonzi as a sign of the friendship between the two nations. Then it was time to have a meet and greet with the pilots, with World Champion Giancarlo Cangiano happy to see for the seventh year in a row the Prime Minister Gonzi. At the stand Metamarine, there was a brief cocktail party with the presentation of many regional products from the Marche, origin of Marco Pennesi created the Metamarine team.
