On the extra briefing today the organisation decided to alter the time schedule. Due to changing weather conditions today’s round 02 will start at 1400h instead of 1600h. Wind is picking up and waves are getting bigger. The number of laps in this endurance race have also been reduced to 11 in order to keep it as safe as possible.
“We won’t take unecessary risks in the powerboating competition. It was not an easy decision”, Race Director Jean-Marie Van Lancker stated. “But it’s the correct one” he continues. All teams attended the briefing and welcomed this decision from the organisation. Although is rough for man and machine again like yesterday these conditions will provide excellent pictures.
