This is a V1 only race starting in Venezia and finishing in Rimini.The route from Venezia up to Monte Carlo is a true adventure for the V hull powerboats. Although the route is situated near the coastline support is not that obvious. On the picture below you can see that the course is quite impressive.
Besides performing on a high level on the sea it is surely a logistical challenge as well. It’s another approach for the V hull powerboats, the C1 catamarans still race on a oval-ish course. At this point in time I don’t know why the World Championship was arranged like that. I will find out. Below I give the the programme. Just take into account certain circumstances can alter the agenda.
