2010 Poltu Quatu – Endurance: Furnibo dominates in Evolution and Baia Attolini rules in Supersport

Baia AttoliniFurnibo 2B1 Racing Team who won the powerpole on Friday took the lead from the beginning in the Endurance Race on Sunday in the Evolution Class with the diesel powered Metamarine Foresti & Suardi chasing them closely. As the number of laps increased the distance between these two teams grew and halfway the race Furnibo seemed already invincible.

While they blew a engine only the day before in the Sprint Race today they were stronger than ever thanks to the effort of their crew to get their Fountain up and running again. Third was Ukrainian Spirit. Bad luck for Lucas Oil Scandinavian Offshore Challenge who couldn’t finish due to a hydraulic blow out. In Supersport It was very close racing between Baia Attolini and Big Sergio Al & Al. Big Sergio finished closely behind Baia Attolini and Karelpiu took third place. In Poltu Quatu overall Big Sergio won with 9 points ahead of Baia Attolini and Karepiu follows just 3 points away. Let’s say that the Grand Prix of the Sea in Poltu Quatu 2010 was one to remember in Supersport class. The general standings have two strong leaders in Evolution and Supersport class.
