The 2011 Ocean Grand Prix UIM Endurance World Championships will have its first stop in Malta on June 10 to 12. The powerboats are already on their way to this beautiful Mediterranean island. Rumours had it that the all red, white and bleu powerboat number 77 (Lucas Oil Scandinavian Offshore Challenge) would be a brand new concept especially designed to race. This new design was kept hidden and no pictures were to be found. Siracusa 2010 penalties weekend for evolution
As we just received the standings for rounds 9 en 10 it seems that penalties have changed the Endurance results for the Evolution Class. Buoy J knocking loose affected no less than 4 powerboats: nrs. 33, 88, 60 and 55. They all received a time penalty of 30 minutes after a protest of another Evolution Class team. (more…)

With winds around 4 Bft and gusts up to 5 the Powerpole was run in the beautiful deep blue waters of Siracusa under a burning sun. In Evolution Furnibo 2B1 (B) beat Snav Kiton Interporto Sud Europa (I) with almost 14 seconds which is a huge distance. Metamarine Foresti Suardi (I) follows on more then 13 seconds of Snav Kiton (I) and got 3rd place. (more…)

Iltalian teams rule in the Bacoli 2010 Powerpole
In Supersport Big Sergio (I) set the fastest time over the course with 3 min. 26 sec and 87/100 in their outerlimits powerboat. Just less than 2 seconds later Baia Attolini (I) took second place followed by Seagull Chaudron (UA) and Jolly Drive (I). Enthousiastic Karelpiu (I) did not finish due to a technical malfunction. Furnibo 2B1 Racing Team who won the powerpole on Friday took the lead from the beginning in the Endurance Race on Sunday in the Evolution Class with the diesel powered Metamarine Foresti & Suardi chasing them closely.
